Stefán Hilmarsson, born 26 June 1969 in Reykjavík, is an Icelandic musician and
translator. He began his career in 1986 with the band Sniglabandið and
represented Iceland at the 1988 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Þú og
þeir" alongside Beathoven. Four years later, he returned to Eurovision in 1992
with "Nina" performed with Eyjólfur Kristjánsson. Hilmarsson released his debut
solo album Líf in 1993 and followed with Eins og er (1996), Popplín (1997), Ein
